Hiring: Public Safety Officer Company: Mount Sinai Medical Center Location: Westchester, FL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 15:10:58 Employment Type: On-site About the job Experience: •5+ Years of previous security experience, prior experience in law enforcement / military preferred Required Skills: •In an assigned area(s), patrols the buildings and grounds observing for persons or conditions which could adversely affect the security and safety of the Medical Center. •Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain •Locates and reports hazardous conditions and illegal activities as observed or documented. •Enforces hospital policy during any incidents using efficient and courteous procedures. •Handles incident situations per MSMC and departmental policy utilizing resources as appropriate or necessary. •Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary. •Maintains a basic understanding of alarm technology, as required. •Responds to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations.
