Hiring: Protection and Control Engineer Company: LaBella Associates Location: Rochester, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-13 14:17:36 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Program Management, Project Management, SAP, SCADA, Systems Design About the job Experience: •5 years protection and controls experience in the power industry Required Skills: •Ensure that the protection and control systems are designed and installed in accordance to: applicable client and project specifications, applicable codes, network interconnection agreement requirements and engineering best practices •Coordination and technical lead related to the protection and control discipline, from tender process to project execution until contract closure •Deliver consistent, high quality, cost effective engineering advice to key stakeholders and assigned projects •Manage aspects of assigned projects to ensure that equipment is supplied and installed in accordance with the required quality and engineering standards •Manage the interface between program stakeholders and client engineering disciplines as it relates to protection and control, SCADA, and communication •Represent the project team in technical meetings and project meetings •Monitor protection and control design modifications proposals, and prepare reports assessing its suitability for the Project •Review of non-conformities and evaluate proposed corrective actions Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering •Candidates with a Maine PE license or ability to obtain one within one year, will be given preference •Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Strong analytical and problem solving skills Compensation: •$75,000 - $120,000 / year Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
