Responsible for producing detailed volume/weight estimates for products to be manufactured by ORBIS. •Performs all necessary engineering assessments in coordination with Proposal and Advanced Engineering Manager (insuring that sufficient data is provided) for others to develop accurate quotations from, that are within the scope of the companies ability and at the required level of profitability. •Utilize computer aided drafting equipment in the development of the data required for others to correctly estimate costs. Also includes sufficient information to satisfy the customer’s inquiry and demonstrate the abilities of Creative Techniques, Inc. •Regularly confers with the Proposal & Advanced Engineering Manager keeping same informed of all activity, seeking advice, direction and instruction as deemed necessary and appropriate. •Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed. •Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed. •Demonstrated capacity to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. •Demonstrated capacity to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
