Hiring: Project Planner Company: Gravity IT Resources Location: St. Petersburg, FL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:31:42 Employment Type: Contract / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : Financial Planning, Jira, Microsoft Office, Project Management About the job Required Skills: •Partner with business partners and internal customers to intake new work requests, understand business needs, clarify scope, and document project requirements. •Develop early project scope, assumptions, constraints, financial information, and planning details needed to move work through the project intake and development process. •Coordinate preliminary estimates by gathering project information, sending estimate requests to engineers or technical teams, reviewing returned estimates, and resolving questions or gaps. •Prepare and maintain labor planning, contingency planning, and financial planning information based on engineering inputs and project needs. •Create JIRA Epics and Features and related project records so work can be routed to the appropriate regional teams when ready for execution. •Use Transmission’s P6 schedule and other systems of record to verify accounting information, review upcoming work, and align project planning with transmission schedules and business timelines. •Attend and participate in frequent meetings with business partners, engineering teams, regional teams, product owners, and other stakeholders. •Track decisions, issues, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and action items, and ensure timely follow-up after meetings. Qualifications: •Project management, project coordination, business relationship, estimating, planning, or project development experience, preferably supporting infrastructure, utility, telecom, construction, facilities, generation, transmission, solar, or renewable energy work. •Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, clarify scope, document assumptions, and coordinate work across multiple internal teams. •Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work requests, meetings, follow-ups, and documentation needs at the same time. •Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize project information clearly for business partners, engineering teams, regional teams, and leadership. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities and maintaining attention to detail. •Commitment to attend in-office staff meetings every Tuesday morning downtown, St. Petersburg, FL. •Commitment to work in the office three days per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday required onsite days, downtown, St. Petersburg, FL. •Background in telecommunications, IT, utility infrastructure, transmission, generation, solar, facilities, construction, or project development environments. •Operational familiarity with Transmission P6 schedules, accounting verification, project cost structures, estimates, forecasts, or project funding processes.
