Hiring: Project Manager - Public Safety Company: Public Consulting Group Location: United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 11:01:09 Employment Type: Contract / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Content Strategy, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Program Management, Project Management, Quality Assurance About the job Experience: •7+ years of experience in public safety consulting or a related professional/field services environment with supervisory responsibility Required Skills: •Product Line Governance & Operations Leadership •Serve as a governance lead across the Public Safety Consulting Services (PSCS) portfolio, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in delivery approaches, tools, and processes •Establish and continuously improve standard operating procedures, templates, and best practices across proposal development, project delivery, and reporting •Partner with leadership to monitor portfolio performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies •Proposal Development & Business Development Support •Lead and coordinate proposal development efforts, including content strategy, compliance, and submission timelines •Partner cross-functionally with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop compelling, high-quality technical content and differentiators •Support business development activities, including pipeline tracking, opportunity qualification, and capture planning Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, healthcare, fire administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) •Demonstrated experience supporting or leading proposal development, project management, and client delivery •Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget •PMP, CMP, or other relevant project management certification •Prior experience in a consulting firm or professional services environment •Comprehensive knowledge of fire and EMS industry operations including applicable standards and best practices •Travel required (<15%) based on client and business needs •The above is intended to describe the general contents and requirements of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
