Hiring: Project Engineer Application Company: Flexfab, LLC Location: Hastings, MI Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:19:05 Employment Type: Internship Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, CAD, Project Management, Root Cause Analysis, SolidWorks About the job Required Skills: •Plans, organizes, and leads engineering projects through product development processes. •Prepares and adheres to project schedules, raises issues to meet project deadlines, and takes necessary steps to resolve them. •Analyzes research data, proposed product specifications, and/or customer drawings to determine feasibility of product proposals. •Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks. •Advanced Manufacturing, Operations, Purchasing, and suppliers to develop designs and resolve design issues. •Prepares or coordinates the preparation of product or system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and all engineering documentation. •Prepares cost quotations on new products, including materials and purchased components, labor and burden, tooling, and testing. •Coordinates the manufacturing or building of prototype samples, tooling, or systems. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent proven work experience. •Three to five years of experience in product or process development. Automotive industry experience preferred. •Demonstrated success leading projects from concept through successful launch or implementation. •Demonstrated technical expertise in the relevant area of responsibility or technology. •Basic CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred). •Professional office and production environment •Daily/Weekly contact with both internal and external customers •Periodic travel to external customers & supplier locations.
