Hiring: Project Architect - K12 Company: McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture Location: Charleston, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:18:43 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office, Project Management About the job Experience: •8-12 years of experience as an architect •12 years of experience as an architect Required Skills: •We are seeking a creative, innovative and talented Project Architect to join our Charleston Team! •Provide limited, high level, production supervision as necessary for work involving a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. •Assist Project Manager with all aspects of managing multiple small to large-scale projects. •Supervise the preparation and check the accuracy of contract documents. •Incorporate applicable codes, construction techniques, and sequences in various projects including all aspects of cross disciplines. •Supervise and/or perform site observations, such as recording and reporting of existing conditions and construction progress. •Handle problems and questions as they occur during construction. Maintain responsibility for project cost control. •Lead and oversee external communications such as making telephone calls and preparing correspondence to clients, officials, and contractors as required by various projects.
