Required Skills: •The Production Technician is a hands-on position responsible for lighting, audio, and rigging related to shows and events at the Peace Center and will act as the stage manager and perform event management related duties for assigned shows. •Prepare and review show riders, crew calls, invoices, event reports, stage diagrams, lighting plots and various other reports and correspondence. •As assigned, advance events, meet with clients, technical staff, and Peace Center personnel to discuss production needs and schedule crew calls. •Identify any technical problems, design issues or equipment limitations and notify appropriate client and management staff. •Demonstrated capacity to maintain advance and show records. •Supervise staff and local labor during scheduled calls to ensure proper use of house equipment and efficient use of labor. •Maintain a safe working environment for all performance and support areas ensuring that all building, electrical, and fire codes are adhered to, and Peace Center safety procedures and OSHA regulations are followed. •Hang, focus, and operate lighting console. Qualifications: •High School Diploma or GED required. •Knowledge of basic principles and methods of stage management. •Demonstrable knowledge of production equipment and systems. •Knowledge of audio and lighting systems. •Knowledge of stage tools & materials. •Proficiency in operating theatre systems and communications for cue calls. •Understanding of generally acceptable theater practices. •Demonstrated capacity to operate a forklift, certification a plus. •Demonstrated capacity to work well with others. •Demonstrated capacity to lead others with confidence and integrity.
