Product Manager, Platform & Data Products
ChronicleBio - Menlo Park, CA
Hiring: Product Manager, Platform & Data Products Company: ChronicleBio Location: Menlo Park, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 18:03:51 Target Skills & Keywords : Data Pipeline, Go, Rust About the job Required Skills: •ChronicleBio is looking for a Product Manager who is primarily a technical builder: someone who can drive the development of our internal data science/ML-powered platform and our consumer-facing product offering, and who can also support our patient- and physician-facing reporting outputs as a secondary responsibility. This role is weighted roughly 80/20; most of your time will go toward technical platform and product development work; a smaller but meaningful portion will go toward shaping how results get communicated to patients and clinicians. You will report to the CEO and work closely with our bioinformatics/ML scientists, engineering team, clinical operations, and leadership on what ships and when. •What You'll Own •Platform & ML-Powered Product Development (Primary Focus) •Own the product roadmap for our internal system that connects our biobank, lab, and multi-omic data pipelines and increasingly incorporates ML-driven analysis. •Partner with our bioinformatics/ML scientists to turn research-stage models and analyses into reliable, repeatable product features, defining requirements around accuracy, explainability, and appropriate handling of uncertainty. •Own the product roadmap for our direct-to-consumer product offering, driving feature prioritization, user experience decisions, and coordination with engineering on build sequencing. •Work with engineering to keep the platform architecture coherent as new product surfaces (internal tooling, consumer product, reporting) are added, rather than letting each surface grow in isolation. •Run day-to-day product processes (requirements, prioritization, release cadence) for these workstreams. •Patient & Physician Reporting Support (Secondary Focus) •Support the product experience of our research reports (e.g., proteomics, metabolomics, and related result types), working with clinical and scientific leadership on how results are presented to patients in a way that's clear and appropriately hedged. •Flag and route reporting content decisions that require clinical, regulatory, or IP sign-off, rather than owning that judgment independently; this piece of the role is about product execution support, not final decision authority. •What You Bring •Strong technical/product background: experience as a PM on a data-, ML-, or platform-heavy product, comfortable in detailed technical conversations with engineers and data scientists. •Some experience in healthcare, life sciences, or biology; this doesn't need to be deep clinical expertise, but you should be comfortable with biological/clinical terminology and the general shape of how health data products need to handle accuracy and trust. •Track record shipping product in a small or fast-moving team, where you're building process as much as following one.
