Qualifications: •Super analytical: you can build the model, defend it in a room with data science, and explain it to a CFO without losing either audience •Comprehensive expertise in unit and business economics, and a proven ability to balance business, clinical, and technical considerations in a product decision •You know which decisions to test cheaply and which ones you only get to make once, and you can tell the difference under time pressure •In-depth knowledge of marketplace dynamics and two-sided marketplace business models •Sound judgment in ambiguity. You can tell when the evidence is good enough to act on and when the right move is to dig deeper, and you can explain which call you’re making and why •A track record of driving cross-functional decisions to a conclusion without authority over the people who have to agree •Excellent written communication.
