Required Skills: •Develop, manage, and continuously improve PIT’s portfolio-wide project risk management framework, including risk identification practices, standardized risk register requirements, probability and impact assessment criteria, escalation thresholds, reporting cadence, and governance expectations. (25%) •Coordinate risk mitigation strategies with Investment Strategy, Finance, Engineering, Planning, Project Controls, and project risk owners to align risk exposure with capital planning, authorization timing, contingency assumptions, prioritization decisions, and mitigation commitments. (15%) •Track risk owners, mitigation commitments, aging risks, overdue actions, escalation items, decision deadlines, and risks requiring leadership intervention. Ensure the portfolio risk register remains current and actionable rather than a static reporting tool. (10%) •Develop, organize, and present portfolio-level risk reporting, performance reports, dashboards, executive narratives, and decision-support materials leadership, governance forums, and Investment Strategy discussions. (10%) •Drive risk management process improvement by developing templates, guidance, training materials, recurring review routines, and quality checks that strengthen risk ownership, accountability, and consistent use of risk information across the project initiation lifecycle. (5%) •Provide expert analytical, operational, and program management support to the Project Initiation Team, with emphasis on portfolio risk management, governance discipline, cross-functional alignment, and executive-ready communication. (5%) •Manage large and or highly complex and often unique projects requiring application of established project management principles and techniques. Directly accountable to deliver project on time and at or below budget. (10%) Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field with a minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience. •Advanced knowledge and understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs). •Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, & PowerPoint), and relevant specialized business applications (e.g., project portfolio management, requirements/test management, CIS/CRM, customer self-service, telephony, EPS, EAM, work management, & outage management) to support business needs. •Demonstrated business acumen and ability to create value with advanced problem solving, financial/analytical, performance management, negotiation, and conflict management skills. •Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team. Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, meet critical deadlines, communicate effectively, and foster culture change. •Customer driven with demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with people of all levels. •Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including new technology •In lieu of degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience. •PMP, PMI-RMP, CAPM, Six Sigma, or equivalent project, program, process improvement, or risk management certification. •Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, Risk Management, Program Management, or related discipline, with coursework or focus areas on risk management, capital planning, portfolio management, project controls, or enterprise decision-making.
