Hiring: Pre-Sales Mainfram Solution Architect Company: Hays Location: Irving, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 19:05:04 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Vendor Management About the job Experience: •15 years of IT experience •5+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales or technical sales role Required Skills: •Analyses the customer business needs and creates a system architecture design, overall solution and implementation plan as appropriate •Participates in the collection of Customer Specific Data in order to validate the solution’s accuracy, costing and assumptions •Leads successful solution design process and takes ownership of issue resolution •Creates solution cost model. Designs and validates business cases on associated costing in line with the solution designed and associated migration •Coordinates the input from technical teams and 3rd parties, and performs deal specific vendor management activities •Gets the required solution design approvals from business and delivery leaders according to the existing processes and gets buy-in from responsible parties •Supports Solution Manager/Director in all Solution related activities Qualifications: •Minimum of 15 years of IT experience •A demonstratable experience of z-Series system technologies •Presentation skills, presence, and credibility in front of customers •Demonstrated capacity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment while remaining decisive •Demonstrated capacity to build relationships quickly and function as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders •Analytical skills, creativity and innovation •Willingness to travel – low to moderate travel needed, depending on customer requirements •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering field. Commensurate job experience will also be considered. •Has undertaken one or more migrations from an incumbent as the lead •Has worked with 3rd party vendors in negotiating the best possible hardware and software renewals and new contracts.
