Hiring: Plant Controller Company: Owens Corning Location: Aiken, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 13:06:57 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Financial Planning, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Project Management, Segment About the job Experience: •A proven track record and working experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar function in an industrial operations environment •Providing leadership within a manufacturing organization, leading operation planning, savings, forecasting, and investment analysis •Participating in the development of strategic plans Required Skills: •The Plant Controller is the business partner for the Plant Leader and Plant leadership team for all aspects of the full financial context of the plant’s activities. •He/she is a strong contributor to our two strategic pillars: productivity and capital efficiency •He/she is responsible for maintaining a control environment that complies with the Company’s internal control policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). •He/she manages all the processes linked to financial planning & analysis in the plant, as well as supply chain and procurement. •The position reports hierarchically to the Plant Leader with a strong functional reporting accountability for driving results to the Manufacturing Finance Leader of the Region and is a key member of the local management team. •Span of Control: This individual will have direct leadership responsibilities for the Finance Analyst, Warehouse Lead, Sourcing Lead, Production Planner, and Buyer. •The Plant Controller strongly supports Safety, Health, and Environmental Standards for an injury-free work environment •Fosters and ensures a culture which enables a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors, showing a passion and caring for people Qualifications: •Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles; understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics •Providing leadership to organizations within a manufacturing operation(s) – leading operations planning, savings, forecasting, and investment analysis •Demonstrated high growth in previous experience •Negotiating, developing, and evaluating customer and supplier contracts is a plus •Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of other languages is an asset •Strong skills using Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook •Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
