Required Skills: •This position will interact on a consistent basis with Institute leaders, faculty, staff & students at GT, and with outside consultants. Will periodically interact with Executive Leadership. Will typically provide advice/counsel to leadership/management in Administration & Finance/Infrastructure & Sustainability. •This position will supervise: Assigned Staff •Develop campus sector, topical, and space plans. Promote and refine the campus master plan, in coordination with diverse stakeholders. Address space, transportation/multi-modal, environmental, landscape, infrastructure, urban design, compliance, sustainability and other strategic planning topics, initiatives, and challenges. •Develop conceptual programs and budgets for various campus capital projects. •Develop pre-programming documents and information for decision-making suggestions to internal clients. Develop conceptual programmatic requirements for proposed design and construction initiatives. •Conduct or participate in site and space planning and capacity studies, research. •Summarize complex planning and environmental issues into simple short communiques intended for non-planning audiences. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Engineering, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or equivalent combination of education and experience •Relevant professional certification, registration, or license preferred. •Master's Degree in planning, urban planning/design, or related field. •Demonstrated ability to give presentations. Ability to interact with fellow Project Managers in OPDC and Facilities Maintenance & Operations to provide subject matter expertise and cross project coordination for ongoing projects. •Solid functional working knowledge of land planning, urban planning and design, campus planning, place-making, transportation/mobility planning, civil engineering and environmental sciences with a broad base of interest and understanding the multi-faceted aspects of sustainability.
