Hiring: Plane Captain- VMG Company: Amentum Location: Fallon, NV Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 03:05:25 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Compliance, SCA About the job Required Skills: •Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Aircraft Washer and Plane Captain Helper classifications. •Performs daily and turn around inspections as required to the applicable procedures. •Initiates and completes applicable maintenance forms. •Performs Aircraft fuel sampling/servicing as required IAW established procedures. •Serves as aircraft taxi director during launch and recovery operations. •Tows aircraft and act as aircraft brake rider when required. •Ties down and covers aircraft utilizing established procedures. •Provides technical, assistance, guidance and instruction as required. Qualifications: •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •Two (2) or more years’ experience in aviation maintenance and / or flight line operations. •Required proficiency in a valid Driver’s License. •Must obtain/maintain any government/company license, qualification, certification, and clearance requirements for the position. •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. •Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. •Prior military personnel must present a member 4 DD214 with an Honorable character of service discharge. •Demonstrated capacity to read, write, understand, and communicate the English language and follow verbal and written instruction. •Thorough knowledge of applicable safety and maintenance manuals. •Thorough working knowledge of aircraft flight line operations, aircraft handling, servicing, marshaling, common hand tools and normal operational safety requirements of the aircraft.
