Hiring: Pest Control Lead Technician - Greensboro Company: Publix Super Markets Location: McLeansville, NC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:37:31 Target Skills & Keywords : Pest, Project Management, Quality Assurance About the job Experience: •1 year as a Pest Control Technician A or equivalent •5 years as a Certified Applicator Required Skills: •Additionally, this position is also responsible for providing leadership and training to pest control technicians. •Lead and oversee leading and training pest control associates reporting to Distribution. •Lead and oversee pest prevention for Distribution, Manufacturing, and all support facilities. •Lead and oversee bird (avian) prevention for Distribution, Manufacturing, and all support facilities. •Lead and oversee wildlife prevention (e.g. cats, dogs, deer, ducks, geese, sand hill cranes, snakes, opossums, raccoons, hogs, fox, alligators, bats) for Distribution, Manufacturing, and all support facilities. •Problem solving and analytical skills •Be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver’s license and obtain authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position) •Required to complete a minimum of 4 hours of continuing education credits annually Qualifications: •High School Diploma or its equivalent •Current or previous possession of a Registered Technician ID Card •Current Certified Applicator for the state of North Carolina or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days •Thorough knowledge of Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) •Thorough knowledge of FDA Food Codes and the Code of Federal Regulations concerning food safety •Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the control and handling of urban wildlife and urban pest birds.
