Hiring: Peer Supporter Company: Armada Recovery Location: Akron, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:06:28 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Clinical Documentation, Electronic Health Records, HIPAA, Medicaid About the job Required Skills: •Directly Reports to: Clinical Director •Recovery Engagement and Peer Support •Establish trusting, recovery-oriented relationships with patients through shared lived experience, hope, encouragement, and empathy. •Provide one-on-one peer recovery support focused on engagement, motivation, and individual recovery goals. •Share personal recovery experiences appropriately to inspire hope while maintaining professional boundaries. •Assist patients in identifying personal, family, community, and recovery supports that strengthen long-term recovery. •Encourage active participation in treatment, recovery programming, and peer support services. •Recovery Education and Group Facilitation Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent •Current ODBH Peer Recovery Supporter Certification. •Strong interpersonal and communication skills. •Demonstrated capacity to co-facilitate group discussions in a non-judgmental and supportive manner. •Understanding of evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities for substance use disorder treatment. •Demonstrated capacity to complete clinical documentation in an electronic medical record. •Demonstrated capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. •Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. •Crisis management and de-escalation skills.
