Location: Missoula, MT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-02 17:58:44 Employment Type: Full-Time Target Skills & Keywords: Peer Support, Mental Health, Recovery, Peer Counseling, Advocacy, Case Management, Community Resources, Strengths-Based Support, Empathy, Interpersonal Communication Experience: - High School Diploma or HSE required, along with past employment experience - Two years of active participation in mental health self-help activities, peer support or peer advocacy programs, or participant-run organizations or similar experiences or programs - Lived experience of mental health challenges preferred, ideally including experience with psychosis during youth (not required) - Ideally a young adult who relates well to young people; any age may be considered - Understanding of the community in which the team is based, with awareness of available community resources Required Skills: - Utilize personal recovery experience to support individuals in all aspects of their recovery - Support the PACT team in working with program participants from a strengths-based perspective - Provide peer counseling and support, validating clients' experiences and encouraging active participation in their own recovery on an individual and group basis - Provide practical help, mentoring, advocacy, coordination, side-by-side individualized support, problem solving, direct assistance, and supervision to help clients obtain necessities of daily living, including medical and dental health care, legal and advocacy services, financial supports such as entitlements, housing subsidies, money-management services, and transportation - Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to empathize with, relate to, and effectively work with participants of mental health services - Ability/willingness to disclose recovery story (where appropriate) for purposes of empowerment - Must obtain required certification (Peer Support Specialist Case Ma...)
