Hiring: Partner Alliance Manager - Splunk PBST Company: Cisco Location: Birmingham, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:22:40 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Enterprise Architecture, SIEM, SaaS, Splunk About the job Experience: •7 years of direct software sales, business development, or partner alliance management experience within the State, Local Government, or Education (SLED) / Public Sector technology market. •5 years of experience partnering with Tier-1 Public Sector System Integrators (SIs) and Prime Contractors in a sales or business development capacity during major government program capture and procurement cycles. •3 years of experience co-selling, embedding, or capturing revenue with enterprise software, cloud, or SaaS technologies on multi-million dollar SLED or Public Sector contracts. •2 years of experience developing partner business plans, aligning joint go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and managing partner pipeline forecasting with internal field sales teams. •40 years to create solutions that power how humans and technology work together across the physical and digital worlds. These solutions provide customers with unparalleled security, visibility, and insights across the entire digital footprint. Required Skills: •Build and maintain relationships with System Integrators in public Sector – Understand the business model and sales cycle; establish relationships with the business development, technical, and program teams within your assigned partners. •Elevate Splunk’s strategic status with your partners, drive executive, capture, and technology relationships, push go-to-market solutions that will allow partners to discriminate in the FED and SLED markets and influence end-user requirements. •Assist with PBST program sales strategies – engage and coordinate with Splunk sales, BD & capture management teams to identify relevant SI’s, develop program specific value propositions and bid strategies. •Drive adoption of Splunk technology & services during the program capture phase. •Drive adoption of Splunk technology & services in existing and new programs – Understand the key existing programs and large contracts held by our partners. Negotiate positions on SI teams and work with partners to identify opportunities to expand use cases and scope. •Manage pipeline reporting for your SI partner opportunities and revenue influenced by your assigned SI Partners. Qualifications: •Current legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship. •Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% within assigned geographic territory to support partner executive sessions and program capture meetings. •10 or more years of direct enterprise software sales or System Integrator alliance management experience within the SLED market. •5 or more years of experience managing strategic alliances with Global System Integrators (GSIs) such as Accenture, Deloitte, or equivalent tier-1 Public Sector consultancies. Prior experience in partner-led selling of observability, SIEM, cybersecurity, IT operations, or enterprise data analytics software platforms. •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline, OR equivalent practical experience (defined as a minimum of 4 years of additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree). •We are Cisco, and our power starts with you. •4 years of additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree).
