Hiring: Parasitology Laboratory Technician - Days Company: IDEXX Location: Glen Burnie, MD Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 10:35:30 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. •Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or pet biopsy samples that we receive in our lab by the thousands, every day. •Set up and run lab tests, then read and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). •You can expect to specialize in Parasitology; explore more about this department here: https://careers.idexx.com/us/en/referencelaboratories •What You’ll Need To Succeed •It is not required to work in our lab, but if you were a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT), this experience and education would be a plus. •Ideally, you will have experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting and / or clinical diagnostic analyzers). •You have a positive attitude and love to bring that energy into the lab every day to support your colleagues Qualifications: •You possess a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A 2-, 3- or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.
