A background in financial services is preferred. Required Skills: •Ares is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Paralegal in our Los Angeles office. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and senior paralegals. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. •The Paralegal will be charged with facilitating the efficient functioning of the Legal team to enable the timely delivery of high-quality legal services to investment professionals and other functional groups in Los Angeles, New York and Europe. •Review and advise on non-disclosure agreement (“NDA”) terms, both receiving-side and sharing-side. •Prepare and negotiate joinders to NDAs. •Coordinate workflow with external counsel for high volume of NDAs. •Review and negotiate non-reliance letters and access letters. •Assist with consulting agreement workflow. •Partner cross-functionally with Compliance team to clear conflicts on investment opportunities. Qualifications: •Skilled with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite and other MS Office software products. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Strong time-management and prioritization skills. Able to successfully manage multiple priorities and competing demands. •Thrives working autonomously in a dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced environment—demonstrating flexibility, resiliency and proactivity. •Exhibits excellent judgment—knows when to elevate issues and ask questions. •Eager to learn, improve and develop new legal-related skills. •Builds on successes.
