Required Skills: •This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned. •Align machines and equipment, to specified tolerances with minimal supervision, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and indicators. •Lay out, drill, and tap mounting holes, using measuring instruments, Level bedplates and establish centerline, using straightedge, levels, and transit. •Fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified components, using interference fit by means of pressing or portable gas heating equipment and/or cryogenics. •Use precision measuring instruments to make measurements within specified tolerances. •Write condition reports for each job performed. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical manuals in order to reassemble and align according to specifications. •Reasonable knowledge of machinery, bearings, fasteners, seals, mechanical applications, and their tolerance requirements. Qualifications: •High School Diploma and/or one year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
