Required Skills: •Procures supplies and consumables for a federal detention facility in accordance with Government procurement regulations and corporate procurement policies. The duties involve evaluation, selection, technical liaison, and other administration duties for a wide variety of items. •Research vendors and products; analyzes quotes, recommends or selects suppliers, prepares, tracks and closes purchase orders, schedules deliveries. •Work involves providing status on outstanding deliveries and staying abreast of current approved vendors. •Communication with customers as well as outside vendors for updates and information. •Works closely with technical personnel to have a thorough knowledge of the required items and to ensure quality specifications are translated into purchasing requirements. •Knowledge required for this position includes the Government purchasing practices and procedures. •Obtains items from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. •Can handle complex information and inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders in a customer service focused environment. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in related field. •Must be 21 years of age. •Must be a US Citizen. •US citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for at least the last five years. •Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record). •Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance. •Pass all pre-employment and random drug tests.
