Hiring: Operator Company: Evonik Location: Birmingham, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-02 17:57:02 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords: Aseptic Technique, GMP, GLP, Batch Records, PLC Controlled Equipment, Solution Preparation, Extrusion, Microsphere, Liposome, Polymerization, In-Process Environmental Monitoring, IOQs, cGMP, MSDS, PPE, Lab Glassware, Data Logging Software, Equipment Assembly, Safety Compliance Experience: - 0-2 years relevant industry experience (as determined by management) preferred - AA Degree in a technical area preferred Required Skills: - Personal proficiency in aseptic technique with minimal supervision - Ability to accurately execute development/engineering, GLP or GMP batch records with direct supervision - Ability to perform complex, multi-step solution preparations with direct supervision - Ability to assemble and disassemble process equipment on multiple unit operations for extrusion, microsphere, liposome or polymerization processes with direct supervision - Ability to operate PLC controlled equipment with direct supervision, including adjusting set-points as directed in batch records - Use of basic hand tools required for equipment operation - Ability to execute in-process environmental monitoring with direct supervision - Participation in the execution of IOQs with direct supervision - Basic computer skills - Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; ability to perform calculations when supplied with the equation - Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions - Thorough understanding of all general lab glassware - Basic understanding of system controls and data logging software Qualifications: - Strict adherence to safety practices and procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for the type of hazard and exposure potential - Active participation in general area housekeeping - Ability to seek out and identify opportunities related to maintenance, calibration, and improvement of company facilities, equipment, and procedures - Perform responsibilities in compliance with the quality systems as described in Evonik's Quality Manual - Adhere to all company safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and directives - Conduct all development/engineering, clinical-phase and/or commercial batches in a safe manner by use of MSDS to establish chemical hazards; observe appropriate cGMP procedures; and report all incidents that could threaten the safety of company personnel - Willingness to perform other duties as required by supervisor - Shift details: Day Shift 0700-1700; Evening Shift 1700-0300 Compensation: Not specified Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
