Hiring: Operations Supervisor – Military Leadership Path Company: ShipMonk Location: Louisville, KY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:16:56 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Six Sigma About the job Experience: •3 years of military leadership, supervisory, team-lead, or personnel oversight experience OR 2+ years of civilian leadership experience in operations, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related environment Required Skills: •Lead, coach, mentor, and develop approximately 25–30 warehouse associates •Set clear expectations and maintain accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance •Lead shift huddles and communicate daily priorities •Monitor operational KPIs and adjust labor and workflows as conditions change •Use operational data to identify root causes and improve performance •Train and develop associates while identifying future frontline leaders •Partner with teams across HR, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to solve problems •Maintain inventory accuracy and equipment, sanitation, and safety standards Qualifications: •Military experience in logistics, transportation, supply, maintenance, aviation support, engineering, or operations •Degree or coursework in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field •Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement experience •You're learning the operation, building relationships with your team, and translating your leadership experience into ShipMonk's environment. •You're confidently owning your department's people and performance, using data to make decisions, and identifying ways to improve execution. •You've built a strong team, delivered results, developed others, and positioned yourself to continue growing within ShipMonk.
