Required Skills: •Executive Leadership & Corporate Operations •Serve as the President's right hand for the day-to-day management of the internal business, progressively taking ownership of corporate operating matters so the President can focus on customers, sales, strategic opportunities, growth, and major company/project decisions. •Translate ownership's objectives into clear business priorities, assign accountability, establish deadlines, and follow through with department leaders to ensure commitments are executed. •Directly manage and hold accountable the leaders of Finance & Accounting, Preconstruction, Risk & Insurance, and Human Resources, including setting KPIs, reporting requirements, meeting cadences, and performance expectations. •Improve communication and coordination across corporate departments, eliminate operational silos, and create clear escalation paths for issues requiring ownership attention. •Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable SOPs, workflows, approval processes, internal controls, and management systems that improve organizational performance. •Finance, Controller Accountability & Project-Level Financial Visibility •Establish a disciplined working relationship with the Controller built around clear ownership, deadlines, close/reporting calendars, data standards, and accountability for producing the financial information required by ownership. Qualifications: •Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple corporate/business functions within a construction organization. •In-depth knowledge of construction finance and accounting, including financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, WIP reporting, job profitability, margin gain/fade, billing and collections, backlog, and estimated-versus-actual cost performance. •Proven ability to establish processes, reporting structures, KPIs, and accountability within a growing organization. •In-depth knowledge of the relationship between preconstruction, finance, risk, HR, and construction operations. •Demonstrated capacity to analyze complex business information and translate it into clear recommendations for ownership and executive leadership. •Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. •Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, hands-on construction environment.
