Qualifications: •What AMC is looking for Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or other natural-resource related field with a focus on forest management. •Licensed forester in the State of Maine or the ability to become a licensed forester. •Professional experience with overseeing forest road maintenance, construction, and project design. •Familiarity and professional experience with GIS software to create maps and utilize the software for planning and management. •Knowledge of silvicultural harvest operations and harvest systems. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently to achieve department goals and objectives as part of a high functioning team. •Must be comfortable and able to work alone in a backcountry setting traveling by truck, snowmobile, ATV, snowshoe, and hiking. •Demonstrated capacity to relocate to Piscataquis County, ME or within a commutable distance to AMC’s property.
