Required Skills: •Design, build, and maintain automated deployment pipelines for application code, database schema changes, and environment updates across production and non-production systems. •Develop and maintain configuration management automation (e.g., Ansible) so configuration changes are consistent, auditable, and repeatable across the fleet. •Build and extend infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) so environments can be provisioned, changed, and torn down predictably rather than by hand. •Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that move code and configuration through test, approval, and production stages with appropriate gates and rollback paths. •Identify manual, repetitive operational work, prioritize it by time saved and risk reduced, and convert it into automation with measurable results reported back to the team. •Partner with the operations team to root cause automation-related incidents and close the gap between documented procedure and actual system behavior. •Document automation design decisions and operating procedures so the work is maintainable by others and not dependent on any one person. Qualifications: •Working proficiency with a configuration management tool such as Ansible. •Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with the judgment to know when a manual process should become code. •Solid functional working knowledge of AWS cloud environments. •Clear, direct communication and the ability to explain a technical tradeoff to both engineers and non-engineers. •Exposure to Progress OpenEdge (PASOE) application server environments and observability tooling (e.g., Dynatrace, Elastic, PagerDuty) is a plus. •Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
