The successful candidate will have a strong record of research productivity and extramural funding. •Conduct cutting edge research in the fields of neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and neuroregeneration. •Carry out research projects independently; design and execute research experiments, perform data analysis, write manuscripts, and publish results. •Establish vigorous independent extramurally funded research programs to complement research strengths and goals of the department and university. •Develop new methods and technology and work collaboratively with others in the laboratory and in the department. •Assist with training and supervision of students, postdocs, and technicians. •Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: •Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training •Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. •Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. •Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation •Evidence of ability as a teacher •Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned •Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and, Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations. •An established national and international reputation in the fields of Alzheimer's disease or other neurodegenerative disorders. •Sustained success in obtaining external funding for research •Exceptional track record of publications in top scientific journals Compensation: •Competitive benefits and rewards package Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
