Hiring: On-site Coordinator - Government Services - Jersey City, NJ Company: BlueGrace Logistics Location: Jersey City, NJ Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 17:14:18 Employment Type: Contract / On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office, Risk Management About the job Required Skills: •Trailer Pool Management •Maintain a real-time, accurate inventory of all trailers in the BlueGrace pool at the Jersey City facility, including trailer number, status, location, and carrier assignment. •Coordinate the positioning, staging, and movement of trailers across the yard to maximize operational efficiency and meet outbound freight requirements. •Conduct regular trailer pool audits to verify physical inventory against system records; report and reconcile discrepancies promptly. •Monitor trailer dwell times and proactively address aging or idle equipment in coordination with carriers and the Government Services operations team. •Track and report trailer pool utilization, capacity, and condition to the Government Services Manager on a regular cadence. •Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all carrier subcontractors operating at the Jersey City facility, managing daily check-ins, assignments, and communication. •Coordinate carrier arrivals, departures, and load assignments in alignment with the facility's operational schedule and government contract requirements. Qualifications: •Hands-on familiarity with trailer pool management, yard operations, or freight coordination in a physical logistics environment strongly preferred. •Comfortable working independently on-site without direct daily supervision; strong self-management and personal accountability required. •Proven ability to build effective working relationships with carrier drivers, dispatch contacts, and facility personnel. •Clear verbal and written communication skills; able to convey operational instructions, escalations, and reports with accuracy and professionalism. •Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits — this role carries compliance and contractual recordkeeping responsibilities. •Sound judgment and problem-solving ability; capable of making quick, correct decisions in a fast-moving, on-site environment. •Physically able to perform site walkdowns, trailer inspections, and yard monitoring as part of regular daily duties. •Flexible availability required, including potential early mornings, evenings, or weekends as operational needs dictate. •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to quickly learn TMS, yard management, or carrier tracking platforms. •High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field a plus.
