Hiring: Oil Spill Responder - Belle Chasse, LA Company: Marine Spill Response Corporation Location: Belle Chasse, LA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-15 14:32:52 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Participate in deployment, retrieval, cleaning, and storage of oil boom and sorbent materials, and assist in oil spill clean-up activities. •Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and inspections on response equipment, including maintenance and safety reports. •Demonstrated capacity to learn and operate small boats including use of navigation and radar equipment. •Demonstrated capacity to adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations. •Complete required administrative responsibilities properly and timely. •Work effectively as part of a team, providing support and assistance. •Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. •A Valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record. •Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn safe practices and operations is a plus. •Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen and medical exam. •Possess or obtain a Passport, and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). •Demonstrated capacity to comply with MSRC’s mission, which may include returning to your work site within 2-hours for an emergency response. •Travel as required by business need. •Participate in MSRC’s Drug and Alcohol Program and Medical Surveillance Program. •Requires standing, lifting up to 45lbs, and ability to wear the required personnel protective equipment. •Able to work in various temperatures, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and environmental conditions.
