Hiring: Network Operations Center System Administrator Company: Persistent Systems, LLC Location: Clearfield, UT Job Posted Time: 2026-09-13 10:20:09 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : DNS, Linux, PowerShell, Python, Splunk, TCP/IP, Windows Server About the job Experience: •Solid functional working knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems, including Active Directory user management and Group Policy •Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching •Understanding of tactical communications systems and wireless networking •Operational familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and remote administration Required Skills: •Monitor and manage network operations of local and remote enclaves, ensuring continuous availability and optimal performance of all system components •Respond to system alerts and alarms, trouble tickets, emails, and phone calls from users, conduct initial triage and escalation to provide timely resolution and maintain system availability and performance •Coordinate with network, system, and cybersecurity engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues •Perform system updates and maintenance on local and remote physical and virtual servers, switches, routers, and workstations according to approved schedules and change control procedures •Create, maintain, and delete user accounts in Active Directory and local systems, ensuring proper access controls and adherence to least privilege principles •Provide input and feedback to the change control process •Participate in periodic documentation reviews in support of ATO review and renewal cycles •Monitor system logs and performance metrics to identify potential issues before they impact operations Qualifications: •Bachelor's or higher degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field •Additional certifications such as Linux+, CCNA, MCSA, or ITIL Foundation •Four or more years of experience working with DoD organizations or defense contractors in IT operations roles •Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and RMF compliance requirements •Operational familiarity with network monitoring tools and log aggregation tools (Splunk, PRTG, SolarWinds) •Four or more years of hands-on experience in system administration, network operations, help desk, or IT support roles, or two years of experience and a degree in a related field •Certification as required by DoD 8140 for system administration (e.g. Security+, SSCP) Compensation: •$90,000 - $109,000 / year •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) •Competitive benefits and rewards package •Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
