Required Skills: •Configure, administer and maintain enterprise routers, switches, network segments and the supporting infrastructure behind identity and directory services. •Implement and manage firewall rules, access control lists and network security controls that protect directory traffic without costing availability or performance. •Troubleshoot connectivity issues affecting Active Directory replication, LDAP queries, DNS resolution and Kerberos authentication across distributed sites. •Monitor network performance, availability, integrity and security; investigate alerts and carry out restoration and recovery for intermediate network issues. •Interface directly with directory services engineers to find root causes of authentication failures, replication delays and intermittent connectivity. •Support capacity planning by evaluating peak authentication loads, replication demand and infrastructure growth. •Keep network topology diagrams, VLAN structures, configuration records and security-zone documentation current for operational continuity and compliance audits. •Take part in scheduled maintenance windows, change management, security assessments, testing and compliance validation. Qualifications: •U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Tier 1 / NACI) background investigation. •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. •Hands-on experience configuring and supporting enterprise routers, switches, LANs, WANs and related infrastructure. •Solid functional working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP and Kerberos, including how network misconfiguration affects directory replication and authentication. •Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot connectivity, performance and authentication issues with sound diagnostic practice. •Preferred: CompTIA Network+ and/or Cisco CCNA or higher; experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory network environments; experience with security compliance validation in a federal or similarly regulated environment.
