Hiring: NDT Level 2 Inspector / Non-Destructive Testing Technician Level II Company: SOCOTEC Location: New York, NY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:14:53 Employment Type: Full-time / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : AWS About the job Experience: •Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in NDT inspection roles •Demonstrated experience performing inspections in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments •Demonstrated success in quality inspection documentation and reporting Required Skills: •Perform non-destructive testing inspections using Level II certified methods including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Visual Testing (VT) •Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) is optional •Conduct field testing and obtain representative samples for laboratory analysis and verification •Verify conformance of materials, components, and assemblies to project specifications, codes, and industry standards •Operate, calibrate, and maintain NDT inspection equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols •Interpret test results and prepare detailed inspection reports with accurate documentation of findings •Review and evaluate inspection data to identify defects, discontinuities, and non-conformances •Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve inspection issues Qualifications: •Candidates MUST be Certified Level II UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) technicians. This is a mandatory, non-negotiable requirement. •Valid NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - REQUIRED •Valid NDT Level II certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) - REQUIRED •Valid NDT Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) •Valid NDT Level II certification in Visual Testing (VT) •All certifications must be current and in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, ASNT CP-189, or equivalent standards •High school diploma or equivalent required •Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field preferred •Strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies •Demonstrated capacity to properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, respirators, and hearing protection Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
