Hiring: Multicraft Technician Company: GAF Location: Newton, KS Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:53:56 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, PLC About the job Experience: •3 years industrial or mechanical maintenance experience. •3 years Industrial maintenance experience in a high volume manufacturing operation, preferably continuous process. Required Skills: •Provide general maintenance support and PM’s of equipment for the Plant. This includes troubleshooting, working from blueprints and schematics as related to machine drives and conveying systems in a high production line environment. •Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner (includes documenting work performed in Maximo and closing out order). •Read instructions, blue prints and manuals, and use any meters, hand tools and shop equipment to perform the required job tasks. •Perform millwright work such as aligning a pump and motor, install sheaves, belts, align equipment, check for proper alignment and belt tension. •Troubleshoot, repair/replace power transmission, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. •Perform all phases of welding including MIG Rod. Work on pipe systems, which would involve repairing, modifying, and installing systems. •Familiar with troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs). •Perform preventive and predictive maintenance assignments. Qualifications: •Entry knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance equipment •Entry skills in reading technical documentation (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, P&IDs) •Entry familiarity with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedure •Entry knowledge of reliability maintenance •Entry understanding of CMMS system •Entry finite math and analytical skills •Entry capability to handle fabrication project •Entry experience with preventive and predictive maintenance program implementation. •Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
