This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, researching payment exceptions, completing reconciliations, and working with internal teams to resolve issues. •Process customer payments and payoff transactions accurately and in a timely manner. •Reconcile payment transactions and ensure records are accurate. •Process checks and other payment-related transactions. •Set up and maintain electronic payment accounts. •Research and resolve payment exceptions, discrepancies, and returned transactions. •Review daily reports and follow up on items requiring additional attention. •Process payment reversals and returned payments as needed. Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED required. •0–1 years of related experience; 2–4 years of experience preferred. •Previous experience in payment processing, banking, financial services, loan servicing, or a related field is a plus. •Strong attention to detail and accuracy. •Fast and accurate data entry skills. •Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and working with data. •Strong math and reconciliation skills. •Demonstrated capacity to research issues, identify discrepancies, and determine appropriate solutions. •Strong organizational and time-management skills. •Demonstrated capacity to learn new systems and processes quickly.
