Required Skills: •Supervise and direct the activities of the Claims Department to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, investor guidelines, and applicable state/federal laws and regulations. •Enhance staff performance through goal setting, training, and coaching when applicable. •Monitor internal/external audit findings to ensure claims are filed in accordance with investor/agency/insurer requirements. •Participate in the implementation/development of procedures to increase efficiency; adjust to required changes when necessary. •Provide daily/weekly/monthly loan status in preparation of client calls as required/scheduled. •Review/approve department quality review responses to both internal and external audits. •React to and successfully navigate changes in daily/weekly volume to ensure continued success within the department. •Conduct monthly one-on-one meeting and performance scorecard for direct reports. Qualifications: •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •Strong knowledge of accepted business practices in the mortgage industry and understanding of claims processing for HUD, FHLMC, FNMA, and VA. •Strong knowledge of foreclosure process and appropriate guidelines. •Strong leadership and management skills. •LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) experience. •Demonstrated capacity to motivate and train staff. •Demonstrated capacity to manage time and priorities. •Demonstrated capacity to make sound decisions and resolve issues. •Demonstrated capacity to work independently and effectively meet deadlines. •Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone.
