Required Skills: •Lead hydrogeological investigations, field programs and dewatering studies. •Translate groundwater data and mine plans into practical dewatering requirements. •Maintain the site dewatering strategy and address water-related risks. •Wells and In-Pit Water Management •Lead the planning, installation, operation, monitoring and abandonment of horizontal and vertical dewatering wells. •Coordinate drilling and dewatering activities with Operations, Engineering, contractors and consultants. •Establish procedures for mining and blasting near wells, including well protection, relocation and abandonment. •Oversee in-pit pumping, sumps and pipelines, ensuring sufficient capacity as mining advances. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, Environmental or Geological Engineering, or a related field. •In-depth knowledge of how dewatering interacts with drilling, blasting and mine sequencing. •Strong written and verbal communication skills. •Knowledge of pit-slope stability, groundwater impacts and water-related permitting. •Operational familiarity with mine-planning software and schedules. •Hands-on technical leader who can work across studies, field activities, consultants and operations. •Able to challenge assumptions and develop practical solutions.
