Hiring: Mid-level Manufacturing Planner Company: Spirit AeroSystems Location: Wichita, KS Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:58:52 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, CATIA, SAP About the job Experience: •5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience Required Skills: •Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams •Knowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans •Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material •Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts •Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, and production & postproduction problems •Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware, within the manufacturing build plan •Demonstrated capacity to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures. •Modify and create data sets from engineering using Catia V5 Qualifications: •Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferably an engineering degree from an accredited university) •Sheet Metal Mechanic, complex assemblies and/or installation background •This is a union-represented position. •We are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
