Hiring: METROLOGIST / CMM PROGRAMMER (Hexagon) (Metrology) Company: Nidec Mobility America Corporation Location: St Charles, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:30:38 About the job Experience: •2+ years’ experience or Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering) Required Skills: •Prepare KPI’s for SQA Manager and provide improvement plans. •Complete layout inspection of all new and existing parts as per marked print (s) utilizing the SmartScope, CMM and/or other measuring instruments. •Prepare for upcoming sample submission, input math data to the SmartScope and CMM for part measurement and is responsible for generating layout reports. •Prepare programs for components that can also be used for incoming inspection •Investigate customer and/or supplier’s quality issues when instructed through Request for Inspection (RFI) process •Provides expert advice to designers to improve drawing dimensioning and tolerancing based on metrology best practices. •Meet milestones for PPAP measurement and disposition •Interface directly with the other Nidec plants on governance in programming and measuring Qualifications: •Highly proficient knowledge/understanding of construction and operation of electro-mechanical devices, with strong mechanical aptitude •Mastery of measuring tools, (i.e. microscopes, micrometers, electronic measuring devices.) •High proficiency with PC applications •Sound interpretation of engineering drawings utilizing GD&T methodologies and other technical tools. •Excellent supervisory skills and communication, oral and interpersonal skills •Understanding of Virtual DMIS (preferred) and/or PC-DMIS •Nidec will not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies in response to Nidec job postings.
