Hiring: MES & Ignition Developer Company: Harbinger Location: Garden Grove, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:36:16 Target Skills & Keywords : Event-Driven, Python, SQL, UI/UX About the job Required Skills: •Harbinger is seeking an MES & Ignition Developer to design and develop reporting, visualization, and automation solutions for our manufacturing operations. This role will transform data from our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Siemens OpCenter, into actionable real-time insights using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform. •Design and develop real-time Ignition dashboards for plant-floor operators, supervisors, and leadership, providing visibility into production KPIs, OEE, throughput, downtime, quality, and other manufacturing metrics. •Build and automate daily production, quality, and downtime reporting using the Ignition Reporting Module. •Configure event-driven alerts and notifications for production events, equipment faults, quality deviations, and other critical conditions. •Integrate Ignition with Siemens OpCenter and related manufacturing data sources using SQL and relational databases. •Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to ensure accurate and efficient reporting. •Write Python/Jython scripts within Ignition to support custom logic, data manipulation, and automated workflows. •Design intuitive, high-visibility industrial interfaces that are easy to interpret on workstations and plant-floor displays. Qualifications: •Inductive Automation Ignition Core or Gold Certification. •In-depth knowledge of industrial UI/UX principles, including designing clear, high-contrast interfaces for plant-floor use.
