Hiring: MEP Energy Marshal Company: ACCO Engineered Systems Location: Sparks, NV Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 10:36:04 About the job Experience: •Minimum of 12+ years of experience in the Mechanical Industry or a related field with 5+ years in system operations and commissioning. •Advanced software experience with industry-specific CRM/PM, collaboration, design, spooling, or fabrication platforms (e.g., ProCore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Revit, MSuite, Trimble). •Has experience in the role of Start-up Technician performing startup activities in new construction. •Proactivity/Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it in a manner appropriate for one’s level/position and with minimal supervision. •Perseverance: Shows wherewithal to fight for difficult goals despite challenges and to bounce back from adversity. Required Skills: •Lead, oversee and approve all Energy Marshal activities to ensure quality standards and safety protocols are met in an effort to achieve zero defects or incidents •Perform project specifications reviews to identify quality risks and make strategic recommendations to site management. •Assist in the development of testing and flushing plans including mitigation measures for high-risk activities. •As an SME assist in developing site-specific Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and other related documents for all fluid and air operations, including system filling, draining, flushing and pressure testing. •Provide final review and written approval of MOP’s prior to the field operations team starting any filling, draining, testing or flushing activities. •As an SME assist in development of MOPs for equipment energization including transfer of power and Lock-out Tag-out procedures. •Provide final review and written approval of equipment energization MOPs prior to start-up. •Conduct regular job walks for upcoming Energy Marshal activities reviewing related documentation and inspecting installations. Communicate any deficiencies to the site leadership. Qualifications: •Travel required 0% – 25% of the time to and from the primary site location to other project sites and regional branch offices. •This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Work outside of regular hours may occasionally be necessary to meet business needs. •High school diploma or equivalent.
