This year can be obtained through an internship. Required Skills: •Assists in the assessment and treatment planning of assigned patients. •Provides a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities including group, individual, couples, family and crisis counseling. This includes therapeutic interactions with patient’s family members during visiting hours. •Maintains adequate documentation consisting of case notes, psychosocials, ED admission paperwork, and additional procedural documentation when necessary. All records will be in agreement with facility and state regulations. •Provides effective and immediate crisis intervention which might involve using physical control if patient is unable to control their behavior. •Participates in mandated meetings including treatment team, staff, unit council and educational activities as so defined by Program Director. •Actively partakes in a team building environment with flexibility and a positive demeanor. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling or related field with a minimum of 2 years of mental health experience.
