Other duties may be assigned. •Is able to mentor other team members as directed by Engineering Manager. •Supports Product strategy activities as directed by Engineering Manager. •Lead and oversee product design, engineering and development of assigned programs. •Creates and maintains DFMEA. •Initiates, Writes and Complete Engineering Change Notices for engineering changes. •Works closely and provides design scope and direction/mark-ups to the Designer Engineer in the programs assigned •Leads multi-disciplined design reviews on programs assigned per the STRATTEC Design Review Process. Qualifications: •Must be able to conceptualize, plan and develop small electro-mechanical, mechatronic devices and mechanisms. •Must be able to perform strength of materials and static force calculations. •Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. •Must be able to multi-task, plan and organize work efficiently and effectively. •Must be able to work in a cross functional team and be able to effectively and timely communicate ideas. •Must be able to present engineering data, design concepts and solutions, and progress directly to customers. •Must be self-sufficient and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision. •Must be proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). •BS in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering degree is required.
