Location: DeKalb, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-17 11:01:55 Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly, AutoCAD, CAD, Lean Manufacturing, Microsoft Office, PLC, Project Management, Six Sigma About the job Experience: •10+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience designing equipment/tooling/fixtures. •Demonstrated capacity to work well under compressed time constraints •Project management Required Skills: •Include the following, other duties may be assigned. •Determine best methods for manufacturing products with maximum efficiency. •Inspect and maintain the performance of all mechanical equipment and machinery to support the production processes. •Design production layouts, select and optimize equipment, and develop new manufacturing processes that represent the most competitive cost alternative while maintaining acceptable quality levels. •Analyze and improve current manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce production costs. •Implement safety and quality control measures to ensure a safe and consistent product. •Design, develop, and test mechanical components, machines, and equipment. •Designs electrical components for machines, equipment, and control systems Qualifications: •Strong mechanical understanding for troubleshooting/designing manufacturing equipment. •Extensive experience with 3D CAD design. •Equipment programming including lasers, robots, sensors and plc’s preferrable. •Solid functional working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma principles •Demonstrated capacity to communicate at all levels from the shop floor to Executive level to justify strategies and implement them effectively. •Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional teams to project completion. •Effective problem solver, with ability to utilize analytical techniques to resolve conceptual issues. •Able to develop creative solutions that will result in technology that can provide a technological edge over competition. •Demonstrated capacity to travel 10% of the time. •Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering.
