Hiring: Mechanical Maintenance Manager Company: SSAB Location: Mobile, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 15:14:12 Target Skills & Keywords : Project Management, Root Cause Analysis About the job Experience: •5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial setting •1 year of supervisory or leadership experience •5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience •Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience Required Skills: •Manage maintenance, and reliability of mechanical systems supporting the EAF, LMF, VTD, Casting, Refractory and cranes. •Develop, revise, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs. •Ensure all company safety practices, procedures, and mechanical safety requirements are followed and continuously improved. •Manage team by establishing clear objectives, monitoring performance, encouraging professional development, and promoting collaboration and engagement among team members. Ensure the team is efficient, productive, and produces high-quality results. •Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to equipment failures and reliability concerns. •Manage and maintain critical spare parts inventories. •Hold regular outage planning meetings and publish detailed outage plans in a timely manner. •Conduct crew meetings, safety meetings, and contractor meetings.
