Hiring: Mechanical Engineer – Refrigeration Company: Egan Company Location: Champlin, MN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:04:24 Employment Type: Part-time / Hybrid Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, Buck, Microsoft Office, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Systems Integration About the job Experience: •80 years Private ownership and operations by employees who work in the company (not a holding company or private equity firm) Required Skills: •Partner cross-functionally with the project design team to plan, setup and manage a design/build construction project(s). •Navigate and use Egan’s AutoCAD and/or Revit systems and processes. •Manage project(s) from start to finish or take over an in-progress project(s) •Set up a project or work on an existing project(s). •Prepare electrical construction documents and/or change documents using Revit or AutoCAD. •Pipe sizing, relief calculations, machinery room calculations, inventory calculations, etc. •Mechanical or other building equipment coordination. •Create designs that comply with various Building/Mechanical Codes. Qualifications: •Four-year degree in either Mechanical Engineering. •Minimum of four years of practical experience working in the construction or design-build field. •PE licensing is a plus. •Demonstrated capacity to design refrigeration systems and document them for permit and construction use. •General knowledge of all phases of a project, the required documentation, and the relationship between drawings and specifications. •Knowledgeable with construction administration tasks like schedules, RFIs, punch-lists, etc. •General knowledge of local/State/Federal buildings, electrical and energy codes, and standards. •Strong working knowledge in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Suite or Microsoft Office. •Demonstrable organizational skills and able to perform tasks on multiple projects concurrently. •Courteous, professional, diplomatic and highly motivated.
