Hiring: Mechanical Engineer, Implant Company: Neuralink Location: Austin, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 10:34:29 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : CAD About the job Experience: •5+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience, owning products from concept to production Required Skills: •Exploring early device architectures and downselecting to drive design and company direction •Scoping projects and requirements, large and small, to hit aggressive project schedules and ensure timely completion from inception to implementation •Performing market research and gathering feedback from our users (e.g., patients, surgeons, animal care team) to inform product direction •Detailed designing of 3D CAD and 2D drawings with a heavy focus on DFX, and integration onto the manufacturing line •Rapid prototyping with existing technologies, and developing or sourcing expanded capabilities •Identifying key vendors and developing/maintaining relationships to expand our capabilities •Developing, maintaining, and executing test plans and electro-mechanical test systems for verification and validation of products ranging from components to sub-assemblies, full consumer electronics products, or production environments •Identifying and tackling manufacturing rate limiters and yield hitters Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience and ability •Strong grasp of engineering's first principles •Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) •Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 10993, 21 CFR, and related standards •Base Salary Range:: $120,000 USD - $224,000 USD Compensation: •Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance through a PPO plan Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
