Hiring: Mechanic, Maintenance I Company: Barry Callebaut Group Location: Eddystone, PA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:02:41 Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office About the job Required Skills: •Comply with all company standards, GMPs, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout, PPE, confined space, hot work, working at heights, lifting and rigging, safe work permitting, environmental, and site work-control procedures. •Perform on plant assets and utility equipment routine field and shop repairs, including mechanical adjustments, component replacement, and lubrication. •Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance issues to safely restore equipment operation. •Support planned maintenance, scheduled outages, daily work requests, emergency repairs, equipment inspections, and follow-up corrective actions in a timely and reliable manner. •Demonstrate mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across a broad range of plant equipment. •Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, gear reducers, bearings, seals, couplings, chain drives, belt drives, conveyors, blowers, compressors, valves, and related components. •Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, planning, reliability, engineering, electrical, and controls personnel to coordinate work and repair status. •Operate powered industrial equipment as qualified, including forklifts, pallet trucks, lifts, utility vehicles, and similar equipment. Qualifications: •Demonstrate commitment to Safety and Food Safety and other Company/Site procedures. •Hold high standards for workmanship, equipment reliability, and safe return to service. •Work independently while contributing positively to team objectives. •Communicate clearly with production, maintenance, and supervision. •Demonstrate a sense of urgency when responding to equipment issues affecting production, safety, or reliability. •Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. •Provide proper care, treatment and inspection of all tools and equipment used by the maintenance team. •Support both day maintenance and rotating shift maintenance personnel. •Show willingness to learn, cross-train, and build broader maintenance capability. •Maintain a strong attendance record and consistently reports to work as scheduled.
