Required Skills: •This position is open for external candidates only to apply. •This position will be filled at either the R&D Engineer 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level Qualifications: •Developing and maintaining SysML-based models that capture system requirements, behavior, structure, interfaces, and verification relationships •Supporting systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, architecture development, interface management, and technical baseline development •Applying MBSE methodologies and best practices to improve engineering rigor, traceability, and communication across stakeholders •Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to collect, organize, and model technical information •Generating model-based artifacts, technical documentation, diagrams, and reports to support engineering reviews and decision-making •Supporting model verification, validation, consistency checks, and configuration management activities •Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams •Demonstrated ability to independently develop and maintain complex system models supporting multiple stakeholders •Demonstrated ability to analyze model data and communicate technical findings to engineering and management audiences •2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience directly related to the occupation.
